RacFit, a new tennis, pickleball, fitness and social community center, is proud to announce the groundbreaking of its new location in Buda, Texas at the address of 1390 Robert S. Light Blvd. Scheduled for completion in Summer 2025, the facility will feature amenities aimed at promoting health and wellness through racquet sports, fitness and community engagement. Joined by Buda Mayor Lee Urbanowsky, the groundbreaking ceremony took place on November 4, 2024, marking the start of an exciting new chapter in health and fitness for the Buda community.
“We are incredibly excited to provide this unique combination of fitness and racquet sports to the community,” said Grant Chambers, Managing Partner of RacFit. “Our goal is to create a space where people of all ages and fitness levels can come together to improve their health, build relationships, and enhance their overall well-being. It’s all about making a positive impact for the benefit of the community.”
Brad Harris, Managing Partner and a Buda resident, echoed this sentiment, stating, “As a Buda resident myself, I’m particularly proud of the benefits this facility will bring to our local community. We’re not just creating a place for people to work out; we’re creating a community hub where health, fitness, and connection come together in a meaningful way.”
RacFit will offer a wide range of services, including group and private instruction for tennis, pickleball and fitness along with a daycare service for on-site patrons, a digital hit wall, food trucks and a beer, wine and smoothie bar. Additionally, there will be a focus on camp and birthday party offerings. A 21,900 sq. ft. building will anchor its rain-or-shine offerings along with expansive outdoor amenities to take advantage of the beautiful year-round weather central Texas has to offer. An additional 17,000 sq. ft. expansion is planned for 2026.
Mayor Lee Urbanowsky added, “RacFit is a fantastic addition to Buda, offering our community an incredible resource for fitness and longevity. Studies show that playing tennis (and other racket sports) can extend life expectancy by almost 10 years, and now our residents have a premier facility right here at home to take advantage of those benefits. I look forward to seeing RacFit become a place where people of all ages come together to improve their health, make connections, and live longer, healthier lives.”
RacFit plans to offer a limited set of founding memberships and special offers in advance of opening. Patrons are encouraged to hold their spot in line by signing up for the Priority Access List list at goracfit.com.
In addition to the groundbreaking, RacFit is proud to introduce RacFit Community Programs; an organized effort dedicated to making our programs and events accessible to all members of the community. RacFit Community Programs will also offer scholarships and financial aide to those in need.
“We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to improve their health and well-being, regardless of their financial situation,” said John Hernandez, Managing Partner of RacFit. “Through RacFit Community Programs, we are committed to giving back to the community and ensuring that fitness is available to everyone.”
The facility will be a welcome addition to the rapidly growing Buda area, providing residents with top-tier fitness opportunities close to home.
