Job Summary:
RacFit is an exciting new tennis, pickleball, fitness, and social community center opening in Buda, Texas, in July 2025. Our mission is to create a vibrant, inclusive, and health-focused community for members of all ages. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Youth Program Director to lead and manage a variety of engaging and educational activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social well-being for youth ages 3-15. This position will involve planning, coordinating, executing daily activities, ensuring a positive and safe environment for RacFit Active Care and RacFit Study Hall athletes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Planning & Implementation:
- Develop, plan, and implement a diverse range of active programs including sports, fitness, recreational activities, and leadership-building events for youth.
- Create age-appropriate lesson plans, schedules, and activities that foster teamwork, confidence, and physical fitness.
- Ensure programs meet the specific needs and interests of the target age group.
- Supervision & Leadership:
- Supervise and mentor youth participants, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
- Lead groups of youth during activities, offering guidance and support in a safe and structured environment.
- Train and oversee volunteers or junior staff to assist with program delivery.
- Safety & Compliance:
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all youth participants.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure that activities comply with relevant guidelines (e.g., local regulations, health and safety standards).
- Respond to emergencies and incidents swiftly and appropriately.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Foster open communication with participants, parents/guardians, and staff members.
- Organize regular updates for families on program progress and participant development.
- Evaluation & Reporting:
- Regularly assess the effectiveness of programs through feedback from participants, staff, and parents.
- Maintain records of participant attendance, behavior, and development.
- Provide reports on program successes, challenges, and future improvements.
- Promotion & Outreach:
- Assist with marketing and promoting youth programs to increase enrollment.
- Represent the program at community events, meetings, or outreach activities.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Recreation, Sports Management, Social Work, or a related field preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with youth in a recreational, educational, or community-based setting.
- Experience in program planning and implementation, especially for youth-focused initiatives.
- Strong leadership and group management skills.
- Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate youth in a variety of activities.
- Organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards for youth activities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications:
- CPR and First Aid certification required.
- Teaching and Youth Sports certifications are a plus.
Work Environment:
- The position may require working evenings and weekends based on program schedules.
- Physical activity and mobility are required to lead programs and engage youth in outdoor settings.
- The job will involve working both indoors in our classroom and outdoors in our sports fields and playgrounds.
