Job summary

RacFit is an exciting new tennis, pickleball, fitness, and social community center located in Buda, Texas. With 8 dedicated pickleball courts - 4 of which are covered - RacFit is committed to creating a thriving pickleball community with unique and innovative programming. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Director of Pickleball to lead and grow our pickleball offerings. This individual will oversee programming, tournaments, leagues, and instruction, ensuring exceptional member experiences and strong community engagement.

The Role

What you’ll
do.

Program development & management

• Design and implement a diverse schedule of pickleball programs, including clinics, social events, leagues, ladders, and tournaments.
• Develop specialized programming for players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced competitors.
• Oversee Open Play events.
• Continuously assess program effectiveness and make adjustments based on feedback and trends.
• Create unique events and formats to keep programming fresh and engaging.

Instruction & coaching

• Provide private lessons, group clinics, and instructional sessions tailored to skill development.
• Recruit, train, and manage certified pickleball instructors and assistant coaches.
• Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality instruction and adherence to safety standards.

Community building & member engagement

• Foster a welcoming and inclusive pickleball community that encourages participation and growth.
• Organize social mixers, themed events, and networking opportunities for players.
• Develop partnerships with local organizations, schools, and businesses to promote pickleball.
• Act as the primary point of contact for pickleball-related inquiries and member support.

Event management

• Plan and execute local, regional, and potentially national pickleball tournaments.
• Coordinate with governing bodies and sponsors to elevate RacFit’s profile as a premier pickleball destination.
• Oversee event logistics, marketing, and communications to maximize participation.

Facility & equipment oversight

• Maintain pickleball courts, nets, and equipment to ensure safety and performance.
• Collaborate with the operations team to schedule court usage and events effectively.
• Recommend and manage equipment upgrades and enhancements as needed.

Marketing & promotions

• Work closely with the marketing team to promote pickleball programs, events, and tournaments.
• Develop digital content and social media campaigns highlighting RacFit’s pickleball community.
• Organize referral and incentive programs to attract new players and retain existing members.

Qualifications

What we’re
looking for.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Recreation, or related field (preferred).
Experience
Minimum of 3 years in pickleball programming, coaching, or facility management. Proven track record of building successful programs and events.
Skills
Strong organizational and leadership abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in event planning, scheduling software, and CRM tools.
Certifications
Pickleball certification through recognized organizations (e.g. PPR, IPTPA) preferred. CPR/AED certification required.
Passion
A commitment to growing the sport and building a dynamic community.
