Buda, Texas – September 25, 2025 – RacFit is proud to announce Michael MacVay as its Director of Youth Tennis and Managing Member. A highly accomplished tennis professional, Michael brings decades of experience building and leading award-winning junior programs across Central Texas.
In his role at RacFit, Michael will lead all junior programming, fostering a vibrant pathway for the next generation of tennis players in Central Texas. His coaching philosophy emphasizes fun, fundamentals, and long-term growth—helping players not only excel on the court but also develop confidence and life skills that carry into every part of their lives.
Michael has been widely recognized for his contributions to youth tennis development. His honors include Youth Development Program of the Year (USTA Texas, 2017), 10-and-Under Coach of the Year (CATA, 2016), the USTA North Star Award (2015), and Junior Professional of the Year (CATA, 2014).
At Dripping Springs Racquet Club, Michael grew the junior program to more than 200 students. Previously, as Director of Junior Tennis at Rippner Tennis, he expanded participation from just 35 to more than 300 players and established one of Austin’s largest Junior Team Tennis programs, with approximately 15 teams each season.
Beyond his on-court coaching, Michael is a USTA Coach Developer, helping expand the pool of tennis coaches throughout Texas and beyond. He is also a PTR Certified Professional and a past President of the Capital Area Tennis Association (CATA), where he helped shape the tennis community through leadership and advocacy.
“Michael’s vision, energy, and passion for youth development make him the perfect leader for RacFit’s junior programming,” said Michelle Stallard, General Manager of RacFit. “His track record of building successful programs will be instrumental in growing our community and inspiring the next generation of players.”
Michael shared his enthusiasm about joining RacFit:
“I’m excited to bring my passion for youth tennis to RacFit and help create an environment where kids can thrive both on and off the court. This is about building a community that supports growth, fun, and lifelong love for the game.”
Michael is also a managing member of RacFit and will officially begin his role as the facility prepares to open its facility in Fall 2025.
