Minh Vu Named Head Pickleball Professional At RacFit

Buda, TX — RacFit is proud to announce the hiring of Minh Vu as Head Pickleball Professional, bringing an elite competitive background, proven leadership, and a passion for coaching to RacFit’s growing pickleball community.

In his role, Minh will lead RacFit’s pickleball instruction across adult and junior programming, overseeing private lessons, clinics, and the RacFit Junior Pickleball Program. His focus will be on helping players of all ages and skill levels build confidence, master fundamentals, and reach their individual competitive goals—while fostering a fun, structured, and high-energy environment on and off the court.

Minh brings a unique athletic pedigree to RacFit. A former collegiate and professional soccer player, he began his college career at Pima Community College before transferring to Penn State University, where he competed at the Division I level in the Big Ten Conference.

During his junior season at Penn State, Minh made an immediate impact, appearing in 19 matches and starting 15 in his first season with the Nittany Lions. He led the team with 11 points (4 goals, 3 assists) and ranked among the top goal scorers in the Big Ten. His standout play earned him Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week, Big Ten Tournament Offensive MVP, and All-Tournament Team honors, highlighted by multiple game-winning goals and Penn State’s lone goal in the Big Ten Tournament championship match.

Following his collegiate career, Minh signed his first professional contract with USL Pro club Rochester Rhinos in 2014, officially launching his professional soccer career.

After retiring from professional soccer, Minh discovered pickleball and quickly transferred his competitive mindset and athletic skill set to the sport. He now competes at the 5.0 level in Austin-area tournaments and recently placed third overall at the Minor League National Championships, competing in the DUPR 18 division at the Men’s V13 National Tournament.

“Minh brings exactly the type of energy, leadership, and competitive experience we want at RacFit,” said Michelle Stallard, General Manager. “His background as a high-level athlete and his ability to connect with players of all ages make him a perfect fit as we continue to build one of Central Texas’s premier pickleball programs.”

As Head Pickleball Professional, Minh will play a key role in shaping RacFit’s pickleball culture—combining elite training standards with an inclusive, community-first approach that reflects RacFit’s mission.

Welcome to the team Minh!
